READ FIRST!!! : This is MY version of bat country by avenged sevenfold. My guitar teacher gave me an assignment this week to take a part in a song that i dont particularly like and change it, most of the song is the same, i just changed the clean parts of this song, to playing with m. shadow’s voice within a scale that i figured out by ear. There are a few minor mistakes here and there but overall its pretty good. Sorry about the audio my camera doesnt have as good of a microphone as my computer, and since i moved to college i dont have quite the same setup as i used to.

more to come, parts not on this video..
thanks for all of these beautiful songs to Brian Blade and the Fellowship. “Variations on a Bloodline”written by Brian Blade, my favorite composer, who writes tunes for his group The Fellowship Band, at the guitar. The songs he writes are so amazing, and so much fun to learn, also because they lay out so well on the neck of the guitar, and the voicings he uses for the entire band (playing all together) reflect the energy of the guitar and the way chords are voiced on the guitar. The Fellowship’s music makes me excitedly want so much to learn and play these pieces on the guitar. If anyone out there has the same “affliction,” please contact me. I’m always searching for transcriptions of Blade and Jon Cowherd.
Fellowship.. the best band in the land.
Thanks to Jon and Brian

This is a simple lick for beginners.
It can be used in Country, Bluegrass, and Gospel. I played for a few years before stumbling accross this simple but effective lick.
Hope you enjoy.
